Macdonald Hotels has procured 147 Club Car Tempos from leading electric utility vehicle manufacturer and UK Club Car dealer Bradshaw Electric Vehicles as it continues to heavily invest its golf resorts across the UK.
The renowned luxury hotel group, which has over 30 locations across the UK, is spreading its new fleet of Club Cars across five of its resorts: Portal Golf and Spa Resort, Hill Valley Hotel Golf and Spa, Linden Hall Golf and Country Club, Cardrona Hotel Golf and Spa and Spey Valley Resort.
The order has been made during an exciting time for Macdonald Hotels – which has already begun sowing the seeds to achieving its ambitious goal of cementing its golfing offering as one of the finest throughout the UK.
As a part of their order Macdonald Hotels have opted for a lithium-ion battery option on their Club Car vehicles, meaning they will yield a higher performance and longevity for their customers by being able to charge faster, last longer, and have a higher power density for more battery life in a lighter package.
An award-winning buggy which is expertly designed for the golfer and course in mind, the Tempo golf buggy stands out for its proven engineering, industry-leading durability, reliability, and comfort as well as its distinctive modern automotive styling.
Indeed, it is no secret why it is regularly the buggy of choice for major championship golf tournaments and some of the largest and most famous golf courses across the globe.
Macdonald’s latest Club Car procurement process is just one example of the hotel group upgrading its facilities and equipment for the benefit of its customers.
With the group hosting several professional tournaments this year, including the Clutch Pro Tour and the Tartan Tour, they have invested heavily into its resorts and equipment over the past year as it gears up for an exciting action-packed golf season.
Ross Astley, Regional Director of Golf at Macdonald Hotels & Resorts commented: “We are delighted to take delivery of 147 Club Car Tempos which will be distributed across five of our golfing resorts throughout the UK.
“The procurement process of the new Club Car Tempo buggies in many ways is just one piece of the puzzle in line with our exciting plans to put the group’s golf offering on the map and will indeed complement the winter maintenance projects our courses underwent earlier this year.
“There is an expectation from our customers that they receive a reliable and quality product when on the course therefore when sourcing a Club Car supplier we wanted to ensure that not only was their aftermarket offering was entirely seamless, but that the quality of the product was reliable and durable – hence why we opted for the lithium-ion battery as in the long-run it would generate cost savings by keeping buggy downtime to a minimum.
Ross continued: “From board level down we were hugely impressed with Bradshaw and their service offering.
We have had a longstanding relationship with Club Car so know the model well, therefore the key differentiator when sourcing a new supplier was that they would be on hand to solve any issues that may arise with the buggies and that they were seamless to deal with on a professional level – and Bradshaw ticked both of these boxes and more.”
Ramsy Labassi, Marketing Manager at Bradshaw Electric Vehicles also said: “As a leading UK Club Car dealer we were pleased to provide a fleet of nearly 150 Club Car Tempos to Macdonald Hotels, a group which has exciting plans to scale their offering to their much-valued customers throughout their market leading resorts across the UK.
“Due to the quality of build, premium finish and connected technology, the Club Car Tempos are renowned for being built to perform and last meaning golfers visiting Macdonald resorts can rest easy knowing that they will be able to traverse through the course seamlessly and without issues – leaving them to concentrate on what matters most, their game.”
