Lumine appoints new CEO

9.34am 3rd April 2020 - Corporate

Agustín García Pascual has been appointed as the new chief executive officer at Lumine Mediterránea Beach & Golf Community in Spain, replacing Calle Carlsson, who is moving on after 10 years at the Costa Dorada-based resort.

Pascual has worked in the golf industry for over 20 years, managing some of Spain’s finest facilities. A former professional footballer, he was general manager at PGA Cataluyna from 1999-2009, before moving on to become general manager at Real Golf de Pedreña. In his most recent position he was Director of the Seve Ballesteros Foundation, which supports the clinical research of brain tumours, as well as helping young people without resources in the development of their careers in golf.

Pascual’s appointment at Lumine coincides with a change of direction for the resorts owners, Criteria Craixa, as they look to focus on the overall growth and integrated management of the resort, with a commercial approach for the new residential development that is currently under construction.

Speaking about his new role, Pascual said: “I am excited to be a part of this wonderful resort. It is an exciting challenge for me, and I am keen to help the company reach new heights. I am eager to meet all the staff and help them excel in the roles that each one of them play in order to drive the team to the next level.”
