Already a tour de force in Europe, the Jeff Howes Design Team is now setting its sights firmly on the lucrative and thriving Asian market.

Following a number of visits to China by the team over the past 12 months, the company’s attendance at the 2010 Golf China Show at the China National Convention Centre – Beijing and meeting interested parties, the company has embarked on an ambitious expansion drive into China and thereafter Southeast Asia.

Whilst Asian markets are challenging in cultural, social and business practice terms as well as generally requiring longer periods of familiarisation of the marketplace – the return on time and money spent developing a market share can be worth it.

Noting these challenges & the size of the market of the region, Jeff Howes Golf Design have in a very short period, with the help of Enterprise Ireland’s Irish & Beijing offices and their regular workshops;

  • Established an office in Beijing.
  • Made numerous visits to sites for potential clients in Shanghai, Beijing, Dalian and Harbin resulting in two consultancy contracts to date.
  • Exhibited at the Guangzhou China Golf Show and,
  • Also at the Asia Pacific Golf Summit in Bangkok, Thailand.

Jeff Howes Golf Design’s commitment to this new market is clearly evident with the level of investment in monetary and personnel terms that the company is undertaking in the region. It would be the company’s ambition that the number of persons employed in Ireland will increase in time to reflect the growth of the company in the region.
