IMG steps up global golf course management presence

IMG Golf Course Management has continued its strong growth pattern and 2008 marked the first year of exhibiting and representing clients at an international forum, the International Golf Travel Mart (IGTM), held in Marbella, Spain.

James Quilley – director of sales & marketing for IMG Golf Course Management explains, “Our division has reached a point of growth and size in Asia where we are able to strategically represent our clients now in very beneficial ways, such as being an exhibitor at the world’s foremost golf tour operator trade show IGTM. We recently represented some of the most sought after golf clubs in Asia including Angkor Golf Resort and Nirwana Bali Golf Club, and the response from international Tour Operators was fantastic. While most clubs in Asia are still structured in a private club model, there are some award winning golf clubs accessible in resort settings now, that people are showing strong interest in travelling to for that unique Asian golf experience”.

IMG provides management and consulting services for golf clubs throughout Asia and the Middle East, in such countries as Indonesia, Cambodia, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Mauritius and the U.A.E.
