Hoebridge & Redbourn join Trackman Range revolution

10.04am 28th July 2020 - Corporate

Hoebridge Golf Centre in Surrey and Redbourn Golf Club in Hertfordshire have become the first golf facilities in England to offer TrackMan Range technology at their driving ranges.

The addition of TrackMan Range technology is the latest step in the Burhill Group’s commitment to continually providing the best facilities possible for members and visitors at its 10 golf sites across the country.

Currently trusted by 96 of the world’s top 100 ranked golfers, as well as PGA professionals and club fitters the world over, TrackMan’s radar technology has revolutionised ball and club-tracking in golf since 2003.

The TrackMan Range product installed at Hoebridge and Redbourn is a simple, yet highly advanced system which allows players of all levels to track their range shots and engage in a variety of different game modes all from the comfort of their driving range bay.

Hoebridge Golf Centre features the company’s largest collection of TrackMan Range bays, with a total of 27 bays and two VIP hitting bays while Redbourn, near St Albans, boasts a fully upgraded range of 26 TrackMan-fitted hitting bays.

The in-bay monitors, which are the first TrackMan screens to be installed anywhere in the world, display instant shot feedback on ball speed, carry distance, launch angle and more, allowing users to practice with purpose and learn more about their game.

As well as high tech upgrades to the practice facilities, the reinvigorated Hoebridge site benefits from the installation of a ‘Caddy Shack’ bar to go along with numerous cosmetic improvements. Both venues have also undergone a complete overhaul of their food and beverage areas for the comfort of members and guests.

Guy Riggott, Operations Director at BGL commented: “We are delighted to be able to deliver this exciting new technology to our driving range customers. Upgrading the capabilities of our ranges is an important step for us to take in order to continue bringing the game to an increasingly wide audience and we see the gamification of golf through technology as the future of the driving range.”

“Within our golf portfolio, a key part of our philosophy is to make the game as accessible as possible. TrackMan Range technology boasts an abundance of features that allows our driving ranges to appeal not only to seasoned golfers but non-golfers and beginners alike.”
