Golftech appoints new sales agent in South Wales & South West

10.53am 2nd September 2020 - Corporate

Golftech, owners of BIG MAX and ZOOM, has appointed Jon Moody as its sales agent for South Wales and the South West.

With over 25 years’ industry experience and a proven track record of success in the territory, Moody will begin his role with Golftech with the launch of a new range of golf bags and electric trolleys from BIG MAX and a new premium Laser Rangefinder from ZOOM.

Moody was a PGA Professional for 16 years, including spells at Marriott St Pierre & Herefordshire Golf Academy. He then moved on to become Territory Sales Manager for Nike Golf, where he won European Footwear Sales Manager of the year in 2015. Since becoming an independent agent, he has represented several leading brands, and is excited to add BIG MAX and ZOOM to his portfolio.

“The appeal of working for Europe’s #1 push cart and golf bag brand, the huge potential in the ZOOM Laser and glove range and the fantastic margins across the board were the deciding factors in wanting to take on the brands,” said Moody. “I’m looking forward to presenting the new ranges from ZOOM and BIG MAX to my customers as I really think there is something to appeal to every type of venue. I’m especially looking forward to seeing the reaction to the new eLITE series of electric trolleys, as no-one will have seen anything like them before, and the new Laser from ZOOM which has more features than you could expect for the price point.”

Ian Waddicar, Managing Director of Golftech UK, is delighted to have Moody on board at this particularly exciting time for both brands. He said: “We’ve spent the last six months establishing ZOOM in the Laser market. Even though the conditions have been exceptionally tough, the response has been phenomenal, and we’re about to add a second Laser to the range that I think is even more impressive. When you add to that what I think is perhaps the most impressive launch from BIG MAX in three or four years, Jon is coming on board at really exciting time for the brands.”
