Golf fashion brand Golfino is celebrating its 33rd birthday in 2019 by launching a range of special promotions on its new Spring/Summer collection.
Inspired by Bernhard Langer’s victory at the Masters in 1985, the Hamburg-based brand was set up by Christel and Bernd Kirsten in 1986 and over the last three decades or so has established itself as one of the market leaders when it comes to golf wear, with over 40 standalone shops throughout the world and 900 retail partners.
Starting out as a knitwear specialist, the family business has since grown its collection to encompass high-quality coordinated outfits in sports and leisure wear.
Dr Kirsten, founder and CEO of Golfino, said: “In addition to modern designs, we also place great emphasis on high quality. Over 70% of our fashion is designed and produced in Europe.”
New arrivals for the 2019 golf season comprise of impressive retro designs and functional materials with the textile technologies Silverplus, Kafetex and Sofiguard.
The new function Silverplus, based on silver chloride, keeps the wearer feeling fresh. The silver compound on the surface of the yarn prevents the propagation of odour-causing bacteria. Furthermore, the new Kafetex material uses an environmentally-friendly textile. One benefit is the odour-neutralising feature due to the coffee-coated yarn. Another advantage is the anti-static effect that supports a pleasantly cooling feel. Fabric surfaces are soaked with Sofiguard to protect effectively against exposure to water.
