Golfbreaks.com, Europe’s golf travel specialist, has once again been awarded the coveted Investors in People Gold standard, joining the top 7% of accredited organisations across the UK that believe in realising the potential of their people.
The award confirms the Windsor-based company’s position as one of the country’s best employers and part of an elite group of UK businesses to have reached that level of attainment.
“We are absolutely delighted with the Gold award, which only a small percentage of organisations achieve,” said Andrew Stanley, Chief Executive of Golfbreaks.com. “ We are firm believers that a business is only as good as its people, and we do all we can to make sure all 147 of our staff are managed, trained, developed and led in the best possible way. Golfbreaks.com is a fantastic place to work and this award truly reflects that.”
Investors in People is the UK’s leading people-management standard and exists as a business improvement tool designed to help all kinds of organisations develop performance through their people. It provides a wealth of resources for businesses to innovate, improve and grow, with a focus on good people making great business.
The Gold award recognises achievement in business practice and marks organisations as being at the forefront of people management and development. To secure Gold, a rigorous assessment is undergone – including 24 staff interviews, with Golfbreaks.com meeting 186 of 196 required standards.
“We’d like to congratulate Golfbreaks.com on their Gold standard,” said Jeff Pullen, an Investors in People Registered Specialist. “The company has achieved Gold for the second time, which is a remarkable achievement considering the significant changes that have taken place at Golfbreaks.com over the past 12 months, including an office move and company restructuring.”
“Only 7% of accredited Investors in People organisations achieve the Gold standard and it is a credit to not only the managers that this standard has been met but also the people that are at the very heart of the business. It is their enthusiasm and dedication that makes Golfbreaks.com an excellent company to work at.”
With a portfolio of more than 2,000 resorts, courses and venues worldwide, Golfbreaks.com last year sent more than 600,000 golfers on a golf day or break.
