One of Europe’s leading golf software providers, GolfBox A/S has been acquired by leading Australian technology firm, MSL Solutions.
The deal creates a stronger and wider portfolio of complementary products and services benefitting both GolfBox and MSL Solutions across international markets.
GolfBox CEO Christian Faergemann said the venture now enables the acceleration of a worldwide offering of current and new products.
“This new partnership with MSL Solutions is exciting, extremely complementary and provides us with extensive knowledge and international growth opportunities,” Mr Faergemann said.
“Having access to more resources only strengthens our position and our combined services provide untold benefits for our stakeholders. Today’s technology changes rapidly and we are now in a prime position to adapt to future technology trends and consumer requirements.”
Mr Faergemann assured GolfBox customers there would be no change in their day-to-day business and that all GolfBox team members, operations and brand name will remain the same.
For Brisbane-based MSL Solutions, the acquisition gives it a strong foothold in the European market as it continues to expand its reach internationally.
It also complements MSL’s dominant position in the Australian golf sector, where it manages the central golf handicapping solution, GOLF Link as well as providing software solutions to more than 600 clubs.
MSL Solutions Managing Director and Chief Executive Craig Kinross said adding GolfBox to the portfolio of software solution brands was a natural fit.
“We have been a reseller of GolfBox’s tournament software for two years and now look forward to strengthening GolfBox’s international opportunities,” Mr Kinross said. “Their software solution and customer base speaks for itself and MSL will add its expertise in assisting with developing cutting edge products.
“The GolfBox brand and business is strong and its executive team has the experience and commitment to drive international growth. Under this new setup, key markets can now be extensively approached and customers can look forward to enhanced products and services.”
