The Danish software company GolfBox A/S and the Swedish Golf Federation have just signed a new 10-year agreement.
The new agreement extends and confirms a very successful relationship between GolfBox and SGF, as they have worked closely together on the Swedish IT-solution since 2006.
“The partnership that we have with SGF is very special to us. SGF has a unique desire to continuously stay updated on the technology front. Their great insight and their huge knowledge base enables great synergies in our software development”, says GolfBox CEO Christian Faergemann.
Christian Faergemann adds “It is not a secret that SGF’s role in the development of our new tournament software has been crucial for us and we are really pleased to see a 10-year extension of our agreement as a result of the beneficial relationship we have had so far”.
“For SGF the continuation of our partnership with GolfBox is important, since their development insight and experience in this industry is key for our future IT-strategy”, explain Bo Bengtsson, Assistant General Secretary Swedish Golf Federation.
Bo Bengtsson adds, “GolfBox have shown a huge willingness to reinvest as a company to keep up with technology and the new tournament software is a very good example of this. This has also been a major contributing factor for the length of our new agreement”
Since GolfBox A/S officially released the new tournament software in the beginning of this year, it has been used to administrate over 35.000 tournaments and the international interest in the software has been quite extensive. Just recently England Golf signed a 3-year agreement.
GolfBox A/S is one of the major software suppliers on the European market and they service more than 900 clubs and many golf associations in countries such as Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Belgian, France, England, Scotland and Wales.
