Live scoring to mobile and wearable devices, a one-stop entry and payment point, as well as seamless integration with the Golf NSW digital platform – including a mobile app – are some of the key features in store for golfers after Golf NSW and the world’s leading supplier of tournament management solutions, Golf Genius agreed to a multi-year partnership.
From January 2020, all Golf NSW tournaments will be powered through Golf Genius tournament management software, aligning the organisation with many of the sport’s largest bodies from across the Asia-Pacific region and around the globe.
Graeme Phillipson, General Manager of Golf NSW said the partnership with Golf Genius was the ideal fit for the organisation and one he anticipated would set a benchmark for the administration of tournaments not only in NSW but across the region.
“With over 45 events and championships on our calendar including the AVJennings NSW Open, the Worrell’s Women’s NSW Open, the Australian Ladies Classic – Bonville and large inter-club events like Metropolitan Major Pennant and beyond, we know Golf Genius is the ideal event management solution,” Mr. Phillipson said.
Golf Genius is already highly regarded by many state and regional golf organisations in the United States for its ability to serve the needs of player registration, payments, and tournament operations.
The cloud-based service combines the best features of the traditional golf experience with highly innovative cloud-based and mobile technology, which adds up to a better user experience for players, administrators and fans of the sport.
“We are delighted to be working with Golf NSW and look forward to serving the needs of their golfers and those of the wider golfing audience across the State,” said Mike Zisman, President and CEO of Golf Genius.
In addition to becoming the organisation’s preferred tournament management software solution, Golf Genius will develop a range of bespoke user engagement solutions for Golf NSW, including a mobile app for followers of the sport in the State to catch up on the latest scores, news, and tournament results.
