“Golf and the City” coming soon to your screens

6.00pm 9th June 2000 - Corporate

Budding golfers in the heart of the City of London will be able, for one month only commencing 12th June, to play some of the most famous golf courses in the world thanks to Bloomberg.

From 12th June to 7th July a massive virtual golfing environment has been created on Finsbury Square using 3 golf simulators that allow aspiring Ernie Els budding golfers to test their skills on the great holes of the world, such as the 18th at St Andrews or the 12th at Augusta.

The golf will be running from 11am until 8pm each weekday and slots can be booked via Bloomberg screens on LTP GOLF. During lunchtimes (12.30pm-2.00pm) and evenings (5.30pm-8.00pm) golfers are free to turn up and have a go at one of the competitions on offer – longest drive, closest to pin, shortest drive and putting over 9 holes.

There’s no need to bring clubs as leading club manufacturer Taylor Made adidas Golf has provided all the drivers, irons and putters that the competitors will need. Taylor Made has also put up some great prizes from the new SuperSteel range of clubs for the weekly and monthly competitions.

A golf pro will be on-site every Friday to provide golfers with lessons and tips on how to improve their game using a computer print of freeze framed shots of the entire swing. These lessons can also be booked in advance on Bloomberg’s LTP GOLF. For further information on Bloomberg Golf please contact Elisa Dell on 020 7673 2069.
