Glenmuir reorganises to build on Ryder Cup success

8.15am 13th December 2006 - Corporate

In a move designed to ensure the business maintains the momentum created by the huge success of this year’s Ryder Cup programme, Glenmuir has announced the reorganisation of its sales and marketing team.

Andy Bough, previously sales and marketing director, will assume the role of marketing director, with responsibility for all product development, brand management and marketing. Graham Hayward, previously in charge of Glenmuir’s international business, will assume the role of sales director, with responsibility for the entirety of Glenmuir’s UK and international sales network.

Commenting on the reorganisation, managing director Colin Mee said, “Glenmuir has enjoyed a fantastic 2006, with our most successful ever Ryder Cup programme and increased sales resulting from the improvement in our product range and promotion. We are determined to build on this success and are confident that this reorganisation will ensure the business has the right focus to deliver the growth we are looking for.”

Glenmuir is one of Europe’s leading golf clothing companies and has invested significantly over recent seasons in new product development and marketing. Improved design has delivered growth in its seasonal fashion business, and the company’s most comprehensive media and pr campaign around this year’s Ryder Cup has enhanced the brand’s position at the heart of the game of golf.

Glenmuir has developed a significant international presence, with partnerships with the PGAs of Europe and other bodies helping to deliver expanded distribution in the emerging golf markets of Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean.
