A survey of more than 4,250 regular players in the UK* saw Galvin Green top the desirable golf apparel charts with a 21.4% rating, some way ahead of the PING Collection (12%), Nike (10%) and adidas (8.1%). The Swedish brand was rated No.1 choice amongst all golfers – regardless of gender, age or handicap – and was especially popular with single figure golfers and those aged under 50.
Ranked consistently high across all apparel categories for style, performance and comfort, Galvin Green improved its position ahead of a growing number of rivals by 7% on a similar survey conducted last year. It was also the most popular brand of waterproofs with the highest value share of the full suit sector and the overall waterproof garment market.
“This survey demonstrates the extent to which golfers have embraced the Galvin Green Multi-layer concept first introduced a decade ago,” said Mike Johnson-Hill, Managing Director in the UK & Ireland.
