Since the start of GOLF EUROPE eleven years ago, the organizers of Europe’s leading professional golf trade show and the PGA of Europe, have worked together to develop a business-oriented, informative and professional seminar program.
Bill Sanderson has been leading golf business seminars for many years at GOLF EUROPE. This year’s seminar by the marketing and merchandising specialist is titled “Pro Shop Health Check and Profit Booster” and is a chance to re-visit the very best presentations of the past five years. Bill Sanderson will combine the top-ten profit and business boosters with the latest financial approaches for achieving pro shop profits. After the seminar, all attending golf pros will receive a free CD containing all business seminars of the past six years – a clearly arranged “workbook” and reference tool.
“Preparing Your Mind for Golf” is the title of Michael Caulfield’s seminar. This innovative sports psychologist and sports academic was awarded the “Best Research in Sport” award at the Commonwealth Games Sport Conference in Manchester. Caulfield’s seminar deals with the psychological aspects relevant to golf including the art of coaching and listening, the mental attitude of golf pros and amateurs, training mental skills, dealing with performance lows and distractions, and reviewing and evaluating performance levels.
In his seminar, German fitness expert and physiotherapist Artur Frank deals with the question of “Warming Up and Stretching Before Practice – Why Bother?”. As shown by a study of approximately 800 golfing injuries, over 80% are caused by the golfer not warming up systematically. In his lecture, Artur Frank explains which exercises are the best preparation.
GOLF EUROPE 2004 runs from 3rd to 5th October 2004, on the grounds of the New Munich Trade Fair. The traditional get-together for trade visitors and exhibitors will take place on Monday, October 4th, at 6:30 p.m.
