Fraserburgh Golf Club in Scotland has upgraded its website with the launch of a virtual tour video with a voiceover provided by Sky Sports golf commentator Ewen Murray.
Created by local company ticmic360, specialists in creating online 360-degree virtual tours, the initiative, set up by club committee member Eddie McDonald, sees the club working closely with Nigel Hancock from ticmic360, using ground-breaking technology to create a virtual tour of Fraserburgh’s clubhouse and the historic James Braid inspired Corbiehill Course.
The innovative project allows future visitors, and members alike, to virtually walk the course, wherever they are in the world, the experience greatly enhanced by drone flyovers of all 18 holes.
To complete the virtual drone flyover experience, the club commissioned Sky Sports commentator and former professional Ewen Murray to add his unmistakable voice, giving a uniquely informed take on each of the course’s 18 holes.
McDonald said: “This piece of work will hopefully prove invaluable to the club moving forwards as we continue our efforts to increase our exposure both at home and abroad. As digital technology continues to evolve, it is important for golf clubs to do the same and we are truly delighted to have Ewen Murray provide that extra bit of value to the work we are doing with ticmic360 to create a virtual tour of our facilities.”
