Flourishing in difficult growing conditions

From a quiet launch at Saltex 08 The Grass Group has seen growth of more than 18% year on year in some of the most difficult trading conditions ever experienced.

Managing Director and Owner Tim Merrell explained: “We are coming to Saltex 09 with a very positive attitude. The last 12 months have seen a great progression in our business. The addition in November of the Tycrop Products to our range was very significant; it complimented our existing offering to dealers and customers alike.”

The Grass Group expansion has meant that as well as recruiting more staff in sales, service and administration it was necessary to build a dealer network to offer the full range of products nationally. Tim Merrell said: “The dealers recognise that The Grass Group offers a first class range of quality products at competitive prices backed by a very professional parts and technical service. in turn we know that they are able to work well with their customers on a local level.”

Tim Merrell concluded by saying: “The economic situation is far from certain and i will be drawing on all my 20 years of experience in the months to come but we are building on a solid base and i feel certain that our progression will continue and that we are looking forward to continued growth in the future.”
