As part of its ongoing commitment to golfing excellence, the Vale Resort in south Wales has installed a fleet of golf cars from Club Car, a world-leading manufacturer of small-wheel, zero-emissions electric vehicles.
The Resort, home to two championship golf courses, has purchased 50 new high-tech vehicles from Club Car, an Official Supplier of The 2018 Ryder Cup, to further enhance the overall golf experience of its members and the thousands of golfers that visit the venue each year.
The new fleet supplied to the venue by official Club Car distributor Tractor Hire, features the state-of-the-art fully connected Visage System, designed to help guide golfers around the course as well as a full flyover of the hole as you move on to the next tee.
In addition, the Visage System’s interactive touch screen allows golfers to keep updated with a live leaderboard, and its innovative two-way communication system provides the opportunity to order food and drink wherever you are on the course.
“The Visage System in our golf cars will help to further enhance the game of many golfers visiting the resort,” said Clive Coombs, the Vale Resort’s golf manager.
“I think the real ‘hole in one’ feature though is the device’s ability to judge the distance to each hole – something which can transform the experience for every golfer.”
Set in 650 acres of Welsh countryside, both courses have a mixture of wide and narrow fairways, wooded areas and water features. At 7,433 yards off the championship tees, the Wales National is one of the longest courses in the UK, with the slightly shorter Lake course at 6,436 yards.
“We’re committed to constantly improving the facilities on offer to our members and visitors,” added Clive. “Last year we invested £400,000 in our greens maintenance equipment to ensure our golf courses are presented to the highest standards and we have also just completed a £500,000 bedroom refurbishment across the hotel.
“We look forward to seeing how seasoned members and visitors benefit from the new cars and the game enhancing technology within.”
