Five Iron Golf to open first venue in India

US-based Indoor simulator business Five Iron Golf is expanding its global reach with the opening of its first location in India, which is due to open in March 2023.

Located on the first floor of the Grand Venice Mall in Delhi, Five Iron Golf India will offer seven custom-built simulators, which feature TrackMan Golf launch monitors and multiple high-speed cameras to capture every angle of the golf swing. The simulators are perfect for everything from immersive course play on the world’s greatest golf courses, to gaming and targeted practice sessions.

In addition to the golf simulators, Five Iron Golf India, which was developed through a strategic partnership with Hoche Partners Golf Studios Private Limited and shopping mall owner, the DS Group, will include dynamic entertainment areas, a full-service bar and restaurant.

“To be able to participate in the modern golf movement and grow the game globally is exactly why we created Five Iron Golf,” said Jared Solomon, CEO and co-founder of Five Iron Golf. “We remain committed to breaking down any barriers to play and are excited to plant our roots in India.”

“We see tremendous potential for golf in India, where the general population has had little or no access to golf as a recreational activity,” said Gregg Hayden, Partner of Hoche Partners Golf Studios Private Limited. “Five Iron Golf India will change this by providing a fun, social setting to enjoy golf and top-notch food and beverage with family, dates, co-workers, friends, and/or your friendly competitor.”

Founded in Manhattan in 2017, Five Iron Golf has since expanded across nine cities with 15 domestic locations and an international location in Singapore.

Last year saw Callaway Golf, now known as Topgolf Callaway Brands, become a minority investment partner in Five Iron Golf following a $30m cash injection into the business.
