Srixon was presented with two awards at the GTEC Foremost Golf Show in Harrogate – ‘Most Profitable Company 2009’ and ‘Best Ball 2009’ for the AD333.
The awards were voted for by over 1,000 PGA professionals within the Foremost Group – the largest buying group in the world.
“To win not one but two awards is a testament to the support Srixon has given to our green grass account holders this year,” said Andy Martin, director of supplier services for the Foremost Group. “The best ball was a hotly-contested category and the AD333 received unanimous praise across the board with account holders reporting exceptional sales.
“It’s a tribute to the excellent programs that Srixon offer members, allowing them to make exceptional margins at retail, supported by promotional activities that drive consumer demand and ensure the professional can promote and recommend the brand with confidence that Srixon was also voted as the most profitable brand in 2009 for our members.”
The last 12 months have been an exciting year for Srixon, which consolidated its position as the UK’s Number One two-piece ball brand with the AD333 while increasing its position as the UK’s Number One two-piece ball. The three-piece ball business also blossomed with more Tour players using the product and victory for Srixon ambassador Henrik Stenson in the Players Championship.
“We are delighted to receive these two fantastic awards,” said Leslie Hepsworth, CEO of Srixon Sports Europe. “The AD333 has been an incredible success story for us and keeps going from strength-to-strength, and with a new and improved version of the AD333 due in shops for 2010 we’re confident that we’ll not only maintain our market lead, but continue to increase that share.”
The new and improved Srixon AD333 features an even larger core, thinner cover and improved aerodynamics. The ball is now even faster off the clubface and longer than its predecessor, yet with the same great feel and playability.
Srixon has worked very hard with all Foremost members to ensure that as many golfers as possible trial and convert to balls from the Srixon range. The Foremost EMP program has enabled Srixon to get product information in front of a large number of golfers and has played an enormous part in helping drive the brand and product awareness. Newsletter details of the Srixon brand have been regularly landing on golfers’ doormats or into their inboxes.
“We’d like to thank all the Foremost golf professionals who voted the Srixon AD333 as the ‘Best Ball 2009’ and also awarded us the title of ‘Most Profitable Company 2009’ in their retail outlets,” added Hepsworth. “We will continue to support the Foremost Group with competitive prices to ensure that their members make maximum margin on all our products in 2010.”
The new Srixon AD333 is available in stores now with a RRP of £25.99 a dozen. For more information visit www.srixon.co.uk
