DJ TURFCARE launched a new Viano product, new packaging and sold three Plugger fine turf aerators off the stand at IOG SALTEX.

“Windsor was a very successful show for us,” says managing director David Jenkins. “As well as selling machines at the show we have many enquiries to follow up and demonstration requests to carry out.”

The new product launched was Viano Organic Plantfood  and visitors saw new packaging for the popular lawn enhancer Viano Bio-Lime.

Viano Organic Plantfood is a general fertiliser which improves the flavour of vegetables and fruit. It is a product which has been tried and tested over some years in Europe.

Viano Bio-Lime is a totally organic product that not only reduces the acidity of the soil but is also beneficial for the uptake of nutrients and the decrease of moss development.

A further benefit is the bacteria content which digests thatch making scarification less necessary.

Best-selling Viano MO Bacter (in two bag sizes – 7.5kg and 20kg) was also on the Windsor stand. It is now available in selected independent garden centres.

The organic lawn fertiliser eliminates moss without raking and has proved an outstanding success since winning the Turf Pro Product of the Year in 2008. It has featured on the BBC’s BeechgroveGarden series in highly successful trials.

“We are delighted at the success of this remarkable lawncare product,” says David. “SALTEX is very important for us. It is an opportunity to showcase the best of our products, both new and established.”

DJ Turfcare also promoted a new soil testing service for Viano lawn product users. Viano commercial director Steven De Winne, visiting from Belgium, said: “SALTEX is a remarkable show and we are delighted to support DJ Turfcare, our sole UK distributor. All our fertiliser products are organic and manufactured using solar power, which is a unique aspect of our operation.”

New Plant Booster SM3 Added To Organic Range

DJ TURFCARE also announced an addition its range of organic fertiliser products with Plant Booster SM3 from Chase Organics.

This remarkable product – for flowers, fruit, vegetables and lawns – was first introduced in 1965 and contains 15per cent of seaweed solids together with natural plant growth stimulants derived from the same source . . . and a range of natural trace elements to promote healthy growth and disease resistance.

The product was once known as Seaweed Magic, and contains the highest concentration of seaweed solids on the market.

Exclusive Range of Fine Turf, Golf and Sportsturf Machinery from DJ Turfcare

DJ TURFCARE offers an exclusive range of fine turf, golf and sportsturf machinery.

As well as the Plugger PL855 Pro HD sports and fine turf aerator, which features hydrostatic-drive and uses both solid and hollow tines, the company was also showing the smaller Plugger PL410 models, popular with lawn care specialists.

Also on the stand were the second-generation ATOM EDGERS, both professional and domestic – with new Mitsubishi engines. They are tougher, easier-to-use and have improved controls.

The Professional Edger Pro 580 is aimed at local authorities for kerb use and the Atom 450 Deluxe is designed for gardeners with large areas of lawn to edge.

Also seen on the stand was the ATOM BUNKER EDGER – now celebrating its seventh year as a leading product for the golf industry from the DJ golf and grounds care range. It has a powerful easily-maintained Mitsubishi two-stroke engine.

The BUSHRANGER EDGER (seen for the first time at IOG SALTEX two years ago) was also be on show. Aimed primarily at local authorities and those looking after large landscaped areas, the Bushranger Edger is ideal for producing razor sharp edges, especially up close to raised paving because of its drop-down wheel.

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission finds the Bushranger can cope with the demanding conditions found in war cemeteries where immaculate conditions and neat edges are imperative.
