Crossover Technologies upgrade to PGA Partnership Programme

Retail specialist and software development company Crossover Technologies has strengthened its close ties with The PGA by upgrading its status from Official Supplier to PGA Partner.

The Bristol-based company was founded more than two decades ago to provide business software solutions to retailers.

Crossover Technologies founder and Chairman Phil Barnard and his team developed XPOS, a sales and stock management solution designed specifically for golf. Now used by PGA Professionals around the world, XPOS helps retailers to reduce stock, make better buying decisions and, ultimately, improve margins.

Barnard said: “We are delighted to renew our partnership with The PGA for a further three years. This is an exciting time for Crossover Technologies with the development of new solutions and the biggest software upgrade since the launch of the original XPOS. Our partnership with The PGA helps to cement our focus on golf retail and our position as a key supplier within the industry. Golf retail sits at our heart and supporting the PGA Professional in his or her retail business is our priority.”

XPOS has a number of time-saving features, including a unique, live database of over 500,000 products from more than 150 leading brands, which feeds into the sales system.  When stock items are created, the retailer can simply scan any barcode and the sales system will be automatically updated. As a result, it is estimated that the average pro shop saves around £3,000 each year in admin time alone.

This year, the company launched XPOS Version 2: the biggest software update to the system since conception, including a new online ‘Hub’ enabling PGA Professionals to manage their business from anywhere in the world, and on any device.

As part of the three-year agreement, Crossover Technologies will continue to promote the highest standards in retail through regular articles and videos published in the PGA’s monthly magazine and fortnightly newsletter. Crossover’s retail experts will also help lead the PGA’s CPD retail offering at the PGA Training Academy.

Liam Greasley, PGA Executive Director – Commercial, added: “We are delighted to extend our relationship with Crossover Technologies for another three years. Phil Barnard and his team continue to produce engaging and informative content which has proved very useful to PGA Members over the last four years. We are confident our partnership with Crossover Technologies will continue to flourish and they will strive to equip PGA Members with the tools for a sustainable retail business and profitable future.”
