CMAE Joins Up with Leading Online Tee-Time Booking Service

7.11am 2nd July 2010 - Corporate

The Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE), which provides a forum for the encouragement, development and recognition of education and professionalism in Club Management, has joined forces with Teeofftimes.co.uk.

As part of the new alliance, the CMAE will introduce Teeofftimes.co.uk to its affiliate partners in markets outside of the UK, enabling them to build relationships with key golf club managers beyond its current reach.

Launched in 2007 by Europe’s largest golf travel company, Golfbreaks.com, Teeofftimes.co.uk has grown quickly and now works with over 500 golf clubs across the UK giving golfers great discounts on last-minute tee times, all-year-round society offers and outstanding value for money. It is predicted to book tee times for over 100,000 UK golfers this year.

Jerry Kilby, Chief Executive Officer of the CMAE, commented: “It’s great to have a high-calibre business like Teeofftimes.co.uk on board as a Corporate Partner. I’m confident our vast network will be of benefit to them and, in return, the support they provide will enable us to continue to develop our education and professional development programmes for club managers.

“The use of the internet by golfers is increasing almost daily, and clubs and club managers must be fully aware of how they can best use technology to improve relationships with their customers and attract new golfers to their club.”

Steve Hemsworth, Managing Director of Teeofftimes.co.uk, added: “This partnership allows us to develop and grow our relationships not only in the UK, but also across new territories. The Teeofftimes.co.uk business is enjoying incredible growth and I’m sure CMAE members not already aware of the service will quickly grasp how it can bring incremental visitor golfers through the door of their clubs.”
