ClubVIEW: 10 years at the top and still growing

12.20am 22nd January 2010 - Corporate - This story was updated on Tuesday, February 25th, 2020

ClubVIEW, the first developer to create a website system that golf clubs could manage and update by themselves, has reached a major milestone in its corporate life, writes Charles de Haan. It’s ten years old and has over 170 clubs as clients with high profile clubs like Pannal, Rye and Worplesdon to come on board for the start of 2010.

Over the last ten years, ClubVIEW has become the preferred choice of quality clubs that wanted a better way to showcase their club and course, and as the market-leading developer ClubVIEW continues to set the standards that others soon copy.

Besides creating a content management system that clubs could change and update, ClubVIEW built in e-mail capture for database building, and when combined with e-mail and then e-newsletter tools, it revolutionised clubs’ communications and marketing.

These features have enabled many more clubs to attract new members, generate additional income by marketing their social and golf events to a wider membership, and encourage members both to get into the online habit and visit their club more often.

Kevin Evans, ClubVIEW MD, says: “We are improving the functionality and features all the time. Golf is a visual experience and we design bespoke, tailor-made websites. Discerning clubs offer a unique golfing experience and want their website to communicate that in terms of design and layout, branding, use of imagery, choice of sections, content and so on. They want all that for a reasonable cost, and that’s what ClubVIEW does best.”

“Clubs also want to call and speak to someone whenever they want support, and ClubVIEW has a very good reputation for holding our customers’ hands and resolving their issues.”
