Club Car wins agreement with De Vere

8.30am 10th May 2004 - Corporate

Club Car has won a national account contract to become the exclusive supplier of golf and utility vehicles to De Vere Resorts. Winning this account is an important milestone for Club Car as it is the first account outside the USA to take delivery of Club Car’s new Precedent Golf Car.
De Vere courses encompass some of the most famous and challenging golf venues across the UK, many of which host top ranking international tournaments including The Ryder Cup, which The De Vere Belfry hosted for an unprecedented fourth time in 2002.
It was during the Ryder Cup that Simon Wordsworth, head of golf at the De Vere Belfry, got see the Club Car team in action. “As one of Europe’s leading business, golf and leisure resorts we pride ourselves on offering the highest quality products and services to all of our visitors. During the 34th Ryder Cup Matches we were able to witness for ourselves how well Club Car golf cars perform, as well as the outstanding level of technical support that Club Car provided, so naturally we are delighted to be working with them at The De Vere Belfry.”
The agreement is a lease deal over four years financed by City Capital, and will see The De Vere Group adding over 250 Club Car vehicles to its existing fleet. This includes over 200 Precedent golf cars, Carryall utility vehicles and a selection of Custom Solution vehicles, which are tailor-made for purpose. In the case of the De Vere Belfry, Club Car has adapted vehicles for use in the catering department, which enable staff to safely transport three times as much food as before in one go.
