A new initiative aimed at driving profits for PGA professionals has been launched by Club Car, the world’s largest manufacturer of small-wheel electric vehicles, as part of its long-term partnership with The PGA.
The ‘Walk to Ride’ scheme offers PGA professionals in the UK and Ireland an opportunity to lease or rent small fleets of Club Car vehicles from £18.60 a week*, while also benefiting from a four-year limited liability warranty.
One of the first to trial the scheme was Nigel Onions, Head Professional at Wolstanton Golf Club, who invested in two Club Car vehicles with the specific aim of increasing profits and operational capabilities at his venue.
He said: “The cars have really helped us to create an added-value offering for our customers and they have proved a real asset for our corporate days and society events in particular.
“On average, each car is hired once every day and from an operator’s perspective, upselling a golf car is a great way of creating an additional profit stream for the club.”
The scheme, developed by the official supplier to The European Tour, includes free vehicle delivery, a single-point watering system and each vehicle is branded with the club’s logo.
Kevin Hart, Sales Director Golf EMEA at Club Car, said: “We recognise that PGA professionals are at the very heart of the industry and continue to be some of our most valued ambassadors.
“We know that upselling a golf car to members or visitors can help clubs benefit financially and with the preferential leasing rates, the ‘Walk to Ride’ scheme has been specifically designed to provide PGA professionals throughout the UK and Ireland with the chance to increase profits by adopting only a small fleet of vehicles.”
Club Car dealers across the UK and Ireland will provide the vehicles, support and service required to help PGA professionals achieve a return on investment. For more information on the ‘Walk to Ride’ initiative and dealer contact details, visit: http://www.clubcar.tv/pga-professionals/
