Club Car is helping to further enhance educational standards across the golf industry, thanks to its partnership with The British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association (BIGGA).

The world’s largest manufacturer of small-wheel electric vehicles, which produces an extensive range of 80 different models of golf and utility vehicles to help greenkeepers and course managers enhance their operations, has joined the Association as an Education Supporter.

As part of the agreement, Club Car will provide on-going support to the professional development and educational standards of excellence throughout the greenkeeping profession, underpinning BIGGA’s Continuing Professional Development programme.

Dennis de Roos, Utility Sales Director for Club Car in EMEA, said: “Club Car has been a respected brand within the golf industry for more than 50 years and fully advocates the continued professional development of greenkeepers and course managers.

“Engaging with the market and ensuring the highest quality standards are met are two key elements of the BIGGA CPD programme, which mirrors our commitment to the industry, and we look forward to working with the Association to help further improve the golf business as a whole.”

This latest partnership, which follows the recent announcement of Club Car’s appointment as official supplier to St Andrews Links Trust, one of the most distinguished golf complexes in the world and the Home of Golf, helps reaffirm the company’s leading position within the industry.

“Club Car is a really forward thinking, dynamic company and it’s great to be able to confirm them as one of our Education Supporters,” said BIGGA’s Business Development Manager Jill Rodham.

“BIGGA is focused on driving the golf course industry forward through collaboration, which includes working with partners that can make a difference to our members’ businesses and we look forward to developing a mutually beneficial relationship in the future.”

Club Car has installed fleets at many of the world’s leading golf destinations, including Gleneagles, home of The 2014 Ryder Cup in Scotland, The Grove, the host venue for the 2016 British Masters, and The Address Montgomerie, one of the Middle East’s most luxurious and desirable golfing destinations.
