Golf Marketing Services (GMS) has boosted its travel client roster further, signing a PR deal with luxury Italian country resort Castiglion del Bosco.

Located in the UNESCO Val d’Orcia Natural Park and in the Brunello di Montalcino wine-making region, Tuscany, the destination joins fellow travel and resort-based clients including Carnoustie Golf Links, Centurion Club, England’s Golf Coast and Marriott Hotels on GMS’ growing portfolio.

“We are delighted to be working with GMS to promote Castiglion del Bosco to our key markets,” said Emanuela Setterberg, General Manager at Castiglion del Bosco.

“They have a great understanding of the golf market in Europe, which will be invaluable to us as we develop the golf operation here.”

Castiglion del Bosco is an exclusive estate privately owned by Massimo Ferragamo comprising of suites, villas, vineyards and winery, spa and 18-hole, Tom Weiskopf designed private golf course. The entire site is situated in a beautiful, UNESCO protected World Heritage Site.

Commenting on the agreement, GMS Director Neil Gray, said: “During my first visit to Castiglion I was blown away by the quality of the golf course and the beauty of the region. Everything at the resort is done to the very highest standard and the combination of great golf and superb wine is unbeatable.”
