American Golf is bringing the biggest brands in golf to the heart of Galway with the opening of its latest store. Europe’s #1 golf retailer has invested over €500,000 into the store, equipping it with state of the art club fitting facilities and complementing the investment with six new appointments to the staff team including an on-site PGA Professional.
Upon the opening of the new facility, store manager Emma Merrigan commented, “This will be a great venue for us at the heart of a fantastic golfing community. The team we’ve put together is full of enthusiasm and expertise and with the massive investment American Golf has made, the facilities really are second to none. With free club fitting using the latest technology, the chance to try out any club in our huge range and expert advice on site, the future for golfers of all abilities in Galway is very bright.”
American Golf has chosen to invest in the facility that is conveniently located on the Tuam Rd in Galway, as it is perfectly suited for golfers who wish to improve their game. In addition to two state of the art fitting bays with GC2 launch monitoring system, the venue has SAM Putt Lab putter fitting technology, short game area and a putting area. With the largest selection of clubs, expert advice on site from a fully qualified PGA Professional and convenient on-site parking, the new Galway American Golf is the perfect venue to help golfers get the best out of all aspects of their game.
“This is the second big investment we’ve made in Ireland in the last few months after opening our new store at Co. Sligo Golf Club in May,” comments Jennie Miller, Brand Marketing Manager at American Golf. “The business has been active in Ireland for over 20 years so we’re far from newcomers, but with these two new investments we’ve now got a great mix of on-course and retail park venues across Ireland. The Galway store is our first west-coast venture and is one of the biggest investments we’ve made in recent years, so I can’t wait for the team to get to work at the heart of a fantastic golfing community and help the golfers of Galway to reap the rewards of our investment in the venue and the people of the local area.”
The new store, based at Unit 3/4 Tuam Road, Centre Tuam Road, Galway City Centre, is now open for business. As well as bringing the best equipment in golf to the area there will be a wider product range available through American Golf’s iPad ordering system.
