Golf Rossendale Driving Range & Academy in Lancashire has undergone a £700,000 upgrade during lockdown in readiness for opening in early April.

Golf retailer American Golf has unveiled its refit of the 10,000-square foot complex at Golf Rossendale, which has been transformed into a flagship coaching academy for the brand, which will create 25 new jobs.

The site will also include an American Golf superstore and a high-tech driving range fitted with Toptracer technology and an interactive outfield, plus a custom fitting facility. An adventure golf course is also planned, while a new sports lounge, with a range of food and beverages, will also be available for guests to enjoy.

American Golf’s chief executive Gary Favell said: “Last year saw golf’s popularity soar as many people discovered the benefits of the socially distanced sport, which allows for whole families to enjoy a day out together in the fresh air. The new American Golf Driving Range in Rossendale is the first of its type in the area and aims to make golf more accessible and inclusive for people of all backgrounds, genders, ages and abilities.”
