American Golf and Demandware win ‘Retailer Technology Initiative of the Year’

American Golf, Europe’s largest golf retailer, and Demandware, the industry-leading provider of enterprise cloud commerce solutions, have been announced as the winners of the ‘Retailer Technology Initiative of the Year’ at the Retail Week Enterprise Awards. The announcement was made at the awards ceremony in London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on Tuesday 25th November.

American Golf and Demandware were selected as the finalists for their innovations in technology and multichannel retailing after successfully partnering to re-launch seven ecommerce and mobile sites as part of the retailers international expansion plans. Demandware Commerce has provided American Golf with a wealth of new opportunities to improve the customer experience as it grows online across Europe. By working with Demandware, American Golf has been able to introduce successful customer segmented and time limited events , launch promotions within hours and introduce greater personalisation across all sites.

Pat Foley, Head of eCommerce at American Golf reflects on the win: “By working with Demandware, we achieved in three months what would have taken up to a year, accelerating the expansion of our online offering. Being selected as the winner for the Retailer Technology Initiative of the Year Award at the Retail Week Enterprise Awards illustrates the expansion of ecommerce operations across multiple regions. We are now on the front foot in every area – from daily website management right through to international expansion – which empowers us to act with speed and agility and stay one step ahead of the competition.”
