Trent Park Golf Club, a championship 18-hole municipal golf course near Enfield, has entered into a long-term operating partnership with American Golf (UK) Ltd. The club features a large clubhouse and golf retail centre as well as a floodlit driving range and golf learning centre. The picturesque current course was developed in 1974 and features a layout through mature trees and undulating parkland. A very popular course in Southgate in the London Borough of Enfield, Trent Park will undergo significant renovation in the next 6-18 months including golf course drainage projects and a clubhouse refurbishment.

Geary Leathers, managing director, American Golf (UK) Ltd., welcomes the latest member of the American Golf family stating, “The long time loyal golfer and visitors to Trent Park will soon enjoy improved conditions through American Golf’s capital expenditure projects. We look forward to working with the local Enfield Borough communities to increase utilization of the course through innovative programmes and services which will include an improved golf learning centre. American Golf has, for over 30 years, been a cornerstone in “community golf” and all of us look forward to working hard on behalf of the local community golfers and social visitors to the facility”.

Established in the U.K. in 1993, American Golf has now acquired 21 clubs, courses and resorts in England to achieve its status as the largest golf operator in England. Trent Park is near several other American Golf facilities; Mill Green Golf Club, The Hertfordshire Golf and Country Club, Weald Park Golf Club and South Essex Golf and Country Club. American Golf plans to double the current size of its U.K. portfolio in the next two years by acquiring another 20 facilities.
