adidas Golf strengthens European sales team

Pre-season bookings of adidas Golf apparel and footwear in Europe have increased by 43% year on year. Tony O‘Neill is to head a dedicated European adidas Golf sales force of ten people. The UK team has seen a 77% year on year increase in pre-season bookings

Further to its September 2003 sales and marketing restructure, adidas Golf has announced two appointments for its European sales operation. Tony O‘Neill has joined adidas Golf from adidas Sport, as the new sales manager for continental Europe and his appointment is effective immediately. Amarildo Barbosa has joined adidas Golf as an area sales representative for the key regions of Spain and Portugal and will report to Tony O‘Neill.
Tony will be heading a dedicated European adidas Golf sales force of ten people and will report directly to Andrew Law, the European sales director for adidas Golf. Tony has worked for adidas for several years and most recently played a key role in the development and growth of the adidas business within Foot Locker Europe.
These appointments will give added support to adidas Golf’s dedication to improve service levels, sales and distribution across the continent. Momentum is gathering in Europe with pre-season bookings of adidas Golf apparel and footwear already increasing by 43% year on year.
adidas Golf is continuing its growth in the UK market for national sales manager Ian Fergie’s team and has already seen an astonishing 77% year on year increase in pre-season bookings.
“adidas Golf believes that service is key to our future success within the golf industry,” said Andrew Law. “The appointments of experienced industry professionals are crucial to achieving that end. By focussing increased energy on our adidas Golf business on the continent, we hope to mirror our UK success in Europe.”
