Golf Industry leaders Acushnet are looking to invest significantly in their Titleist golf brand throughout the European, Middle East and African (EMEA) region with a new ‘category led’ structure that will see increased focus on the specific golf ball and golf club businesses. To drive the new growth plans forward Acushnet are creating two new senior positions that will be integrated into the existing EMEA Senior Management team.
Titleist’s EMEA marketing and product management team has continually evolved in recent years to effectively support Titleist’s substantial organic growth and to manage the increasingly diverse marketing landscape. The new proposed structure is the next logical step for the market leading brand.
Gary Miller, Vice President, EMEA explains: “We believe Titleist has a huge opportunity in the EMEA region so the time is right to invest significantly in our senior management team to ensure we maximise that opportunity.
“These new positions will carry significant responsibilities as the custodians of the Titleist golf ball and golf club franchises in EMEA. To that end the candidates will need to demonstrate astute golf business acumen and inspiring leadership combined with exceptional ability in either golf ball or golf club marketing and product management”.
The new positions – Senior Manager Titleist Golf Balls, EMEA and Senior Manager Titleist Golf Clubs, EMEA – will primarily be responsible for product direction and marketing strategy with both positions also leading a marketing team in their specific category. They will work closely with fellow Senior Managers, Country Managers and their US counterparts on sales policies, merchandising and profitability.
With Titleist’s global golf ball sales going from strength to strength led by the legendary Pro V1 franchise and the continued growth of the Titleist golf club business thanks to innovative product introductions like the AP irons and soon to be launched 910 driver, these two new senior positions will be highly significant roles in the golf industry.
