One-in-five BTME exhibitors to make first-ever appearance at Show

11.07am 15th January 2019 -

With an extensive waiting list of exhibitors who were unable to find a space at BTME 2018, it was clear that things needed to change to accommodate everyone who wanted to be a part of Europe’s premier turf management exhibition.

BIGGA responded by extensively altering the layout of the event for 2019, moving the entrance of the show towards the Harrogate Convention Centre’s Main Auditorium.

The decision was warmly received by exhibitors, with a record-setting 159 companies all signing up to be a part of the show, virtually selling out the Harrogate Convention Centre’s halls in the process.

An additional 19 companies have been accommodated at the event based upon 2018’s numbers, with the average individual stand space increasing by 14%.

One in five exhibitors are brand new to BTME, meaning visitors to the show will encounter a whole new range of products and innovations that they will never have seen before.

BIGGA Business Development Manager Lauren Frazer said: “In recent years there has been a hunger among exhibitors to really showcase their products at BTME and we were made aware that if we were to provide them with the space, they would embrace the opportunity. That has proved true and the show is not only effectively sold out, but the larger average stand size just goes to show how seriously exhibitors take BTME and the opportunity to engage with BIGGA members on a large scale.

“I’m really excited to welcome some old faces back to the show, as well as the large number of new exhibitors who will be making their first visit to BTME. I’m certain they will all have a fantastic experience!”

BTME runs from Tuesday 22 to Thursday 24 January 2019 and the expanded show will see an increase in available exhibition space of around 25% on 2018. There will be a range of new initiatives, such as Golf Course Construction Live, a New Products Area and a Member Wellbeing Area.

The BTME smartphone app is the comprehensive guide to the exhibition and is available to download now through the Apple Store and Google Play.
