T J Golf & Leisure Limited, the Midlands based golf course accessory distributor has signed two new distribution deals to add to its agency agreement with Standard Golf. These agreements are to start with immediate effect and are for the UK distribution of Eagle One Golf Products and Better Methods Australia.

Tony Newman, MD of T J Golf & Leisure is extremely positive about these additions to the range of course accessories that it can now offer to its ever growing customer base.

“We set up the company four years ago,” he said, “based around the quality of the Standard Golf brand and have since been adding popular products to our own branded product range. The addition of Eagle One Golf will give us access to one of the largest manufacturers of recycled products in the world.”

Mark Hansen, International Sales Manager for Eagle One in America had this to say: “Eagle One Golf Products is proud to announce their new partnership with T J Golf and Leisure to distribute their wide range of high quality golf course accessories in the UK. Eagle One has been a pioneer in introducing eco friendly recycled plastic products to the golf course industry worldwide and is elated to have the exceptional service of T J Golf and Leisure to bring our products to you.”

Tony added: “The quality of the recycled products we can now offer from both Eagle One and Standard Golf is excellent. Prices are not as expensive as you may think and have many advantages over steel fabricated and natural wood products. It requires minimal upkeep, doesn’t chip or fade or require repainting and will last for years. It lends itself to a multitude of applications from tee markers, litter bins, divot boxes, rope and hazard stakes through to benches, planters and furniture and is available in many different colours. Above all these 100% recycled products are environmentally friendly.”

The agreement with BMS Australia is also seen by Tony to give much needed additional product in the Greenkeeping Tools area.

Andy Knox, General Manager of BMS Better Methods in Australia had this to say: “I am extremely happy to have found a business partner like T J Golf and Leisure to distribute our product in the UK. Better Methods had a strong business and loyal customer base in the UK and it is great that T J Golf are going to re-launch our brand in the UK.

“Better Methods has been inventing, developing and distributing high quality hand tools specifically for the greenkeeping trade for almost 50 years now. Andy is the third Owner/Manager and has added several exciting new products to the range including the Divot Doctor and the Core Scoop.

“Charlie Smith – the original owner of Better Methods Australia was the inventor of such famous products as the Levelawn, the Turf Doctor square cut turf repairer and the Turfmaster split shell holecutter.” Andy added: “The original BMS Better Methods tools are manufactured in Australia and are exported and recognised around the world and I am over the moon to have a presence again in my original homeland – the home of golf.”

Tony added in conclusion: We feel now that with these 3 quality brands we offer the most comprehensive range of golf course accessory equipment available in the UK. The T J Golf own branded equipment is being added to all the time, the majority of which is manufactured to exacting standards by our dedicated manufacturer in Malaysia. The choice that is available backed with the level of customer service that we offer along with our new all inclusive catalogue for 2010 being available early January, we are looking forward to an exciting season ahead.”
