Registrations for the Golf Business & Industry Convention (GolfBIC) in Harrogate are now open and the programme on 17 – 18 January looks to be the most exciting to date
The two-day event in Harrogate on 17 – 18 January will feature a number of thought-provoking seminars and discussions, designed to aid golf course and range owners and operators to enhance their businesses, attract new members, grow the game of golf as well as providing a chance to network with other golf and range owners, operators and some of golf’s most influential figureheads.
There are some truly exceptional speakers and the tone for the event is to be set by Grant Wright, CEO of World of Golf, who has vast experience in making golf fun. He oversees the largest collection of Adventure Golf Courses, as well as running the busiest golf range in Europe.
Golf operators also contributing include Ian Bonser, Owner of the ‘National Award Winning’ 3 Hammers Golf Complex for the past 30 years, who will explain how they have developed a successful and profitable business, attracting hundreds of new golfers to the game each year.
The event will also see the return of renowned speaker Gregg Patterson, the former GM of the Beach Club in Santa Monica for 34 years and now President of Tribal Magic, who will address the principles and practices of team building and will clearly outline practices for taking these oft times “warring tribes” – line employees, Course Manager, Pro, Club Manager, Members and Owners and transforming them into a tightly knit, highly productive, more effective, goal oriented TEAM.
Steve Otto from the R&A will talk about the way the game is played at all levels and show ways in which data can be used to guide decisions, whilst Nick Pink, CEO of England Golf, Sandy Jones CEO of the PGA, Jim Croxton, CEO of BIGGA, Lodewijk Klootwijk, CEO of the EGCOA and Andy Lloyd-Skinner, UKGCOA CEO will all take part in a Forum Discussion and Q & A from the delegates.
GolfBIC is hosted by the UK Golf Course Owners Association and The Organisation of Golf & Range Operators and takes place on 17th and 18th January 2017 at the Harrogate International Centre alongside BTME, which is Europe’s leading exhibition for turf professionals and buyers.
The cost to attend the event is just £50.00 for UKGCOA, OGRO and BIGGA members and £100.00 for non-members. Tickets can be purchased through the Continue to Learn booking page https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/continue-to-learn-2017-tickets-27192176532
