Ladies European Tour and LPGA winner Carin Koch was the star attraction when she made a surprise visit to a love.golf coaching session in Suffolk recently.
The former Solheim Cup Captain, who is Golf Ambassador for Syngenta, dropped in to Fynn Valley Golf Club to view the pioneering programme, which was founded by Fellow PGA Professional Alastair Spink and is supported by Syngenta, for herself.
Carin Koch spent time with the women learning how love.golf’s alternative approach to coaching, focused on learning while playing primarily on the course as opposed to the range, is working.
Carin said: “It’s lovely to see how much fun the ladies are having with golf and how much they’re encouraging each other out on the course. I think the approach and programme is a great way to get women into the game.”
love.golf, which is backed by market research and academic study, is gaining traction with PGA Professionals who have the opportunity to earn up to £84.44 per hour delivering the six-week starter and follow-on programmes.
Alastair Spink said: “It is hugely rewarding to see the groups of women develop as golfers and gain confidence, not just at Fynn Valley but at some of the new golf clubs that are joining the love.golf network. It’s also positive to see PGA Professionals sharing their experiences and learning from each other, while adding value to their own businesses and those of their clubs.”
