Tony Jacklin CBE, Paul Lawrie OBE and defending Farmfoods British Par 3 Champion Eddie Pepperell form part of a star studded cast of golfing legends and current professionals to grace the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship this year. The event which takes place from 11-14th August at Nailcote Hall, Warwickshire has built a reputation as one of the most entertaining events in British golf today.

Hosting the Championship for the seventh year running is two-time Major winner and the most successful Ryder Cup Captain of all-time, Tony Jacklin CBE. Also returning to Nailcote Hall is 1999 Open Champion Paul Lawrie OBE, who played a major role in helping Europe regain the Ryder Cup in 2012 and has enjoyed an impressive resurgence in recent years, including shooting the course record at last year’s Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship and performing well at this year’s Open Championship at St Andrews.

2014 Champion, Eddie Pepperell will return to defend his title, along with former winners: Peter Baker, DJ Russell, Carl Mason, Robert Rock, and Mark Mouland.

Some of the current stars of the European Tour that will be battling it out for their share of the £100,000 prize fund include Jason Palmer, Daniel Brooks, Lee Slattery and Max Orrin.

This year also sees strong representation from the Ladies European Tour including Solheim Cup winner Charley Hull, 2014 LET Rookie of the Year Amy Boulden, two time LET winner Carly Booth and young Scottish LET star Kelsey MacDonald.

Competing alongside the young guns will be professionals from the European Senior Tour including six-time Walker Cup competitor Gary Wolstenholme MBE, plus Ryder Cup stars Brian Barnes, David Gilford, Tommy Horton MBE and Des Smyth.

There is a strong international contingent featuring at this year’s Championship which includes: two Spaniards; Multiple European Tour winner Miguel Angel Martin and two-time winner on the European Senior Tour Santiago Luna. The Championship also welcomes the Godfather of French golf, Marc Farry for the first time as well as four time European Senior Tour winner Tim Thelen.

The Championship also features two days of Celeb-Am action, welcoming a host of stars to tackle the Cromwell Course. Some of the celebrities already confirmed include: Sky Sports analyst and former F1 World Champion, Damon Hill OBE; Manchester United goalkeeping great, Peter Schmeichel MBE; Former England cricket Captain, Allan Lamb; Soccer Am presenter, Max Rushden; BBC Sport presenter, Manish Bhasin; Irish Boy Band favourites, Brian McFadden and Keith Duffy and Athletics duo Derek Redmond and John Regis.

Last year saw over 10,000 spectators come through the gates at Nailcote to witness the action. European Tour star Eddie Pepperell won in dramatic fashion in a three way play-off to take home the £25,000 winners cheque and since then has achieved some fantastic results on the European Tour including a second- placed finish at this year’s Irish Open.

The event will once again be broadcast by Sky Sports and both The Daily Telegraph and Golf Monthly are media partners.
