Internationally renowned, The Belfry Hotel & Resort has appointed golf and leisure marketing experts, Professional Sports Group (PSG) as their chosen PR and marketing agency following an extensive pitch process.

The new agreement will see PSG provide key marketing support across the full resort having previously worked specifically on the golf PR for the world’s only four-time Ryder Cup host venue.

Following the announcement of the appointment, Gail Webb, Marketing Director at The Belfry commented: “We are excited about what the future holds for us and are delighted to extend the scope of our relationship with Professional Sports Group. We held an extensive pitch process to ensure we chose the agency that understood our brand and had the credentials to position The Belfry effectively both regionally and nationally.

“We have been very happy with what they have achieved for us in golf since 2013 and look forward to working with them across all areas of the resort, with a focus on our spa, conference, restaurant and wedding facilities.”

Nick Byrom, Head of the UK Office at Professional Sports Group also commented: “We are delighted to win this pitch and have the opportunity to provide integral marketing support and strategic guidance for such a famous hotel. We have thoroughly enjoyed working with The Belfry Hotel & Resort in the golf industry and now look forward to working across the wider resort, positioning The Belfry as a leading premium hotel at the heart of the country.

“PSG prides itself on working with the best resorts in the world and we look forward to continuing this journey with The Belfry Hotel & Resort.”
