Apartments at the spectacular Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach Resort, on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast, have increased in value by more than 20 per cent in seven years – and further increases are anticipated when a spectacular new six-star project is completed in the next couple of years.

Although the resort has now sold all of its studios, there are seven apartments remaining at the stunning Hillside Village – along with Marina, it is one of two existing residential villages at the resort. The quiet, Mediterranean-style village offers amazing views across the Black Sea, the lake and the world-renowned golf course, one of the most spectacular anywhere on the planet.

A new luxurious six-star resort, to be completed within the next two years, will be built in a horseshoe formation around the planned golf clubhouse and is expected to raise further the profile and value of properties on the resort.

Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach Resort’s real estate sales manager, Kalin Stoyanov, explained: “Thracian Cliffs Resort now has more than 15 different nationalities of real estate owners including British, Dutch, Norwegian and Danish and the list keeps growing. The ownership roster may be cosmopolitan but the resort itself is definitely Mediterranean in style and is proving itself to be a shrewd and rewarding investment.

“Properties at Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach Resort have bounced back spectacularly from the worldwide economic crisis and are dwarfing the returns shown in many other destinations. The remaining seven apartments in the Hillside Village start from just €164,000.”

The luxury venue – which was nominated for Bulgaria’s Leading Hotel Residences in the 2014 World Travel Awards – has gained many admirers since opening in 2011, with images of the sensational cliff-top Gary Player golf course being transmitted around the world. It also successfully hosted the 2013 Volvo World Match Play Championship and scooped the ‘European Golf Resort of the Year 2014′ award, bestowed by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO).

Indeed, Player himself said of the course at Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach Resort: “You will not find a golf course like this anywhere else on the planet.”

The beautiful cliff-top course offers stunning sea views from every hole with the signature par-three sixth providing particularly incredible vistas as you look down to the green which is found surrounded by the lapping waves of the Black Sea. From the tips it measures almost 231 yards – a real test of golf and concentration.

Offering a choice of two high-spec residential villages – many with panoramic sea views – gourmet restaurants, a bijou spa and its own beach club, Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach Resort offers plenty for both golfers and lifestyle seekers, all within the unique environment of the Cape Kaliakra coast, which benefits from plenty of autumn sunshine, lying, as it does, further south than Florence, Monaco or Marseille.

That temperate autumn climate is ideal for the regular special events which take place on the unspoiled Bendida Beach, located directly on the seafront of the resort. And, with a bottle of beer in Bulgaria costing around 68p* – the lowest of all holiday hot-spots in Europe – and a three-course evening meal for two, with wine, available for under £28*, the country is clearly one of the best-value destinations around in 2014.
