Campey Turfcare Systems is renowned for bringing the very latest innovations in turf management to market. Saltex this year was the showcase for several new machines applicable to the golf sector.

Imants Blower:
The 3,700rpm Imants blower fits small compact tractors and is perfect for clearing litter and debris in tight areas. It reduces clear-up times by easily removing leaves, litter, grass clippings, snow, twigs, pine needles, water and countless other wet and dry debris from all surfaces. The maximum power required is 35 hp with an input PTO of 540rpm, volume of air 120 m3/min and a PTO Shaft with overrun clutch.

Omarv TE160 Hurricane:
The TE160 Hurricane is a heavy-duty flail mower suitable for cutting and collecting grass, reeds, scrub and heather.  It’s available in three widths – 1.55m, 1.85m and 2.20m with 16, 20 or 24 blades.  It provides an excellent quality cut even if the grass is tall and wet.

Raycam Sportsfield Harrows:
Also from Raycam, the new 2.5m spring tine sportsfield harrow removes thatch, thins out and tillers the sward and spreads clippings after mowing longer grass. It weighs just 120kgs and can easily be operated with a 25hp+ tractor.

Vredo Sport Series Seeder
The unique action of the Vredo Super Compact over seeding system ensures 90-95% germination. A double line of knives, 3.5cm apart enables precision cutting ensuring the seed is sown directly into the soil. The compact roller closes the slits and helps to create a level surface making it ready for immediate use. There are 2 versions available – 3 point linkage or towed.
Working widths range from 0.8 to 1.6m and a sowing distance of 3.5cm. Operating speed is up to 15kph and most areas can be over seeded in one pass.
