BGL Golf, the UK’s leading course owner and operator, has responded to growing consumer demand with a renewed and expanded fleet of Club Car vehicles.

In addition to 135 new Precedent 2 vehicles, BGL Golf, which is owned by Lord Iveagh and members of the Guinness family, has taken delivery of a number of utility vehicles including two of the new Carryall 500, which will serve a dual purpose as both marshal and refreshment vehicles.

The new and enhanced fleet from Club Car, the world’s largest manufacturer of small-wheel, zero-emissions electric vehicles, has been distributed across the 10 BGL Golf venues located throughout the UK, including seven public pay-and-play centres.

Colin Mayes, BGL chief executive, said: “With growing interest from our customers, plus the attractive revenue potential for our retail teams, it is necessary to increase the quantity of vehicles with consumer demand.

“Our customers are accustomed to receiving a high standard of service at our venues and the Club Car brand matches this expectation, plus its excellent maintenance agreement ensures we receive added value from the deal.”

The Club Car after sales service includes visits to the golf venues plus on site training for BGL staff to help ensure they are equipped to keep the full fleet operational every day.
