Distributed in Europe by Motocaddy Ltd, the new 8850 Golf GPS unit is the most advanced and best value Sureshot model to date.

Developed by a team of engineers and international golf industry professionals, this innovative gadget is incredibly user-friendly, comes complete with a high-resolution colour screen that ensures clear visibility in all weather conditions, and has been designed to measure distances to greens and hazards from anywhere on the golf course, with incredible accuracy. The new 8850 can also store an incredible 100 courses in its memory at any one time.

In the past year Motocaddy has invested heavily in high-tech digital, calibrated maps and in-house “mappers” to ensure that all courses are 100% accurate compared to some other GPS companies who rely on the likes of Google Earth’s technology, which can be up to 20-30 yards out.

The advanced GPS technology of the Sureshot offers unrivalled speed of satellite connectivity and distance accuracy to plus or minus one yard. The 8850 displays the distance from you to the green or hazards in either metres or yards depending on your personal preference.

Distances to greens and other key points such as hazards, dog-legs and lay-ups are displayed in real time and update with your movements. Players can also personally map a course or edit any registered mapped course using the Sureshot 8850 GPS unit.

“I believe that the advanced technology, functions and accuracy of the new Sureshot 8850 GPS offers golfers the most complete and without question best value, golf GPS unit on the market today,” commented Rod Brown, Managing Director, Motocaddy Ltd.

“We have invested heavily in innovative and extremely accurate mapping technology to ensure that all our distance readings are incredibly accurate. Golfers who use a Sureshot GPS unit can totally trust the yardages” he added.

Another advantage the Sureshot 8850 has over other GPS models is its simple and effective ability to record both scores and stats, which makes it an ideal tool for golfers who want to get the most of out of their games. A unique feature of the Sureshot compared to its main rivals, is its ability to measure driving distance, fairways hit, greens in regulation, sand saves and putts. A summary of theses statistics and results can then be uploaded to a PC or Mac for analysis and saved for game-by-game comparisons.

The lightweight Sureshot 8850 GPS comes standard with a World Charger and a high performance Lithium Ion rechargeable battery.

An ever-growing number of 12,000 courses worldwide, including 2,300 in the UK, have already been mapped and can be downloaded directly from the Sureshot website, www.sureshotgps.com. Silver membership comes as standard with the 8850 and includes three free course downloads per year. Other membership packages are available and further information is available on the Sureshot GPS website.

The Sureshot GPS 8850 retails at £229.99 and is available direct from the Motocaddy website at www.motocaddy.com/sureshot or from leading pro shops and golf retailers across the UK and Europe.
