The Open Party – the golf industry’s ‘must go’ event

8.06am 11th June 2009 - People

Get set for another terrific Open Party when the golf industry descends on Turnberry next month.

The 2009 party will take place at the 19th Century Maybole Town Hall on Wednesday 15th July and promises to be a fantastic evening with good food, drink a plenty and great entertainment. Since its inception in 2005 the Trinity Partnership has established the party as the ‘Must Do’ event of Open week.

The historic town of Maybole dates from 1193 and was the capital of the ancient district of Carrick. The castellated Town Hall is an attractive Listed Building which marked the southern entrance to the town in earlier times. It offers another highly atmospheric location for this always popular event.

Organiser Annie Harper of The Trinity Partnership said, “This year’s party will have a taste of Scotland to celebrate the Open at Turnberry and the 250th anniversary of Burns homecoming. Tickets are selling fast and are available on a first come first serve basis.”

Tickets cost £50.00 to include Fizz, buffet supper wine and beer. There will be no entry without a ticket so book now by contacting Jackie Wurr on 01780 729248 or e.mail pr@jackiewurr.com
