Toro distributor Lely UK has said goodbye to Sandy Leys and welcomed David Raitt into the role of area sales manager for golf in Scotland.
With Sandy retiring after an impressive 35 years in the golf industry, David joins to look after North Scotland. The position is a career change for David after spending 22 years as head greenkeeper at Forfar Golf Club in Angus.
“What appealed to me about this job is the fact that I understand the reality of life as a greenkeeper”, he says. “I understand the different applications and methods required to maintain a golf course, and the machines best suited to achieve that.
“As a greenkeeper once I’d used Toro I couldn’t see past it and never used anything else. I truly believe it is the best product out there.”
