With facilities including two 18-hole championship courses and an impressive academy, Brocket Hall Golf Club is one of the most sought-after golfing venues in England and has unveiled a range of attractive individual and corporate membership packages this winter.

The historic club, set in 543 acres of stunning Hertfordshire parkland and just a 45-minute drive from the heart of London, has announced details of an array of five and seven-day memberships to suit the needs of the modern golfer.

While many golf clubs have struggled to retain membership numbers in the economic climate, business has been booming at Brocket Hall and prospects continue to look good for 2014.

Under the leadership of golf operations director David Griffin, the club has retained 99 per cent of its membership over the last 12 months and added 90-plus new members since the start of 2013, while also significantly increasing its corporate membership revenue streams.

As well as enjoying year-round golf on its two courses – the Melbourne and the Palmerston – individual and corporate members can experience a host of other benefits including booking tee times up to six months in advance and priority booking during busy periods.

In addition, preferential rates are available across the estate at Brocket Hall’s other five-star facilities including golf coaching and award-winning restaurant ‘Auberge du Lac’,  while complimentary membership is on offer at the London Capital Club and International Associate Clubs.

Griffin added: “Brocket Hall is a wonderful place to play golf all-year round, with facilities that are second to none, and this is borne out by our membership numbers which continue to thrive.

“Our members are the lifeblood of the club and are of prime importance to us. We believe our membership packages deliver outstanding service and value at one of England’s premier golfing venues.”

Brocket Hall boasts some of the finest golf facilities in the country with its two championship courses famously named after the prime ministers who once resided there, Lord Melbourne and Lord Palmerston.

Opened in 1992, the par-72 Melbourne Course is set in magnificent surroundings, crossing the River Lea several times before a memorable finish in front of the hall after a short ferry ride to the 18th green.

In contrast, the Palmerston Course – designed by Donald Steel – is a challenging par-73 woodland layout, with rare Hornbeam, Scots and Corsican pine and 300-year-old oak trees creating a memorable test, and was ranked 86th in the latest ‘Top 100 Golf Courses in England’ poll.

In addition, golfers can hone their skills at the first-class PalmerstonGolfAcademy; indulge in five-star dining at its award-winning restaurant, Auberge du Lac; enjoy a more laid-back meal in Watershyppes Restaurant or an overnight stay in the recently-refurbished Melbourne Lodge.
