Charles Claire LLP has acquired ownership of the Lynx golf brand in the UK and Europe.
The Surrey-based partnership was appointed as licensee of Lynx in early 2011 but now has complete ownership, having re-established it as a significant and innovative equipment brand during the past two years.
Said Lynx Golf UK managing partner, Stephanie Zinser: “We have invested a lot of time, effort and money into developing Lynx with the genuine intent to make the brand reach its heyday again.
“As a statement of intent to our customers, retailers and suppliers – and also in terms of what we want to achieve with Lynx from a business perspective – we made a significant offer for outright ownership of the brand, which was accepted by Chester Hunt.
“This is a very exciting step forward for Lynx. Having complete ownership of the brand here means we can be even more innovative and move at an even greater pace than we have as a licensee.”
Charles Claire LLP is a global sourcing company, specialising in the golf market and operated by golf industry veteran Steve Elford and his wife, Stephanie Zinser.
Lynx Golf has a history of success in the highest levels of the sport, claiming three Major victories in the 1990s.
Under the stewardship of Charles Claire LLP, the brand recently developed the new Boom Boom 2 driver, filled with Hot 1 Gas technology, which was found to be the longest, straightest driver available in testing conducted by RoboGolf.
The technology has recently been introduced to a new range of Boom Boom 2 fairway woods and rescue clubs, while the company is also committed to ladies golf and sponsors LET tour player Lydia Hall.
Lynx Golf continues to establish itself as the most forward-thinking and exciting equipment brand in Europe and is dedicated to supporting ‘green grass’ Pro shop business, now with more than 400 accounts in the UK.
