The European Institute of Golf Course Architects has announced that Roger Davey and Jim Fergusson have become EIGCA Consultant Partners.

Roger Davey has been involved in sports turf and landscape irrigation for nearly twenty five years. He joined Ocmis UK Ltd as a senior design engineer in 1989 and became Managing Director of his own company, Irritech, in 2002. He has designed new irrigation schemes for golf courses and other major landscape schemes in Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Caribbean and has also been heavily involved in designing systems for racecourses and Premier League football pitches.

Jim Ferguson has been involved in the golf industry since 1994 and has worked extensively throughout Ireland and Europe. As Director of Golf Development with the company Turfgrass Consultancy Jim has an extensive knowledge of the European and international golf development market and a detailed understanding of golf course operations.

The EIGCA Consultant Partner category was created to develop closer links between the EIGCA and golf course consultants. The scheme is open to all consultants who are working in a solely fee based, professional practice, associated with the golf course design business. Consultant Partners to the EIGCA are able to attend the annual conference and any CPD events.

Julia Green, EIGCA Executive Officer, said: “I am delighted to welcome Roger and Jim to our growing band of Consultant Partners and we look forward to seeing them at our official functions in the future. Being a Consultant Partner provides a wonderful opportunity for golf consultants to promote their services directly to both our members and our Industry Partners, as our recent conference in Malmö proved so clearly.”
