Brocket Hall Golf Club, situated in the picturesque Hertfordshire countryside, has increased its already large fleet of Textron E-Z-GO TXT golf cars with the arrival of ten new vehicles. In addition to the golf cars, an Oasis Refresher unit, also from E-Z-GO, has arrived to improve the refreshment service on the club’s two 18 hole courses.
With the arrival of the new cars there are now, in total, 49 E-Z-GO vehicles at Brocket Hall, which are used throughout its 500-acre estate. Of these 32 are hired out to members and visitors while the remaining 17 vehicles are used by staff for greenkeeping, catering, housekeeping duties and as shuttles for delegates at the conference centre.
The equipment was ordered from local Textron dealer Ernest Doe and Sons by John Wells, estate and golf course manager at Brocket Hall. Mr Wells commented, “This equipment is ideal for our operation. I have always been impressed by the way that the E-Z-GO cars have performed at Brocket Hall and felt very happy about increasing the number we have here. Steve Bush from Ernest Doe, our local dealer, was superb as always. The service was fast and efficient and the vehicles were with us the day after the order was completed. The E-Z-GO buggy is a cost effective product, performs exceptionally well and is timelessly stylish, accurately reflecting the image here at Brocket Hall.”
The Oasis Refresher vehicle is excellent news for all the thirsty and hungry golfers at Brocket Hall. The refreshment unit will be used around both courses at the club and is able to carry hot and cold drinks, snacks and has a compartment for hot food. This vehicle will complement the existing refreshment service in the clubhouse and at the halfway house on the Melbourne course.
The need for the new golf cars has been made greater by the completion of the second 18 hole golf course. The new 7,096 yard, par 73 Palmerston course, coupled with the original 6,616 yard, par 72 Melbourne course, together with the 6-hole golf academy, the conference centre and cottage accommodation on the estate makes Brocket Hall an ideal golfing and conference venue.
